How to fix Frigidaire dishwasher?

My DW is leaking from one of the heating elements parts that go under the DW. It looks like a bracket has come loose because it wiggles up and down pretty freely. I just want to know if i put some silicon on it if that will stop the leak or will I have to just replace the whole element. Would the silicon be affected by the heat

its likely the bracket would have a screw going through d/w sump into base, in the base you may have a nut which may have come loose, check if screw has an o ring attach the nut to screw and tighten, i wouldn't use silicon perhaps a small amount from under neath in base but not in the wash tub......
